The diet provides a solution for adult maintenance which contains lower protein levels than other diets but with highly digestible fat sources. The diet is appropriate for endurance canine athletes who may benefit from increased fat content in the diet. The diet is elevated in mono unsaturated and saturated fatty acids, which may be more digestible in some dogs than many diets commonly fortified with polyunsaturated fatty acids. Lamb, as a less common protein source, is also accepted by many dogs who become aversive to other proteins.

USDA Ground Lamb: Our lamb is sourced from Australia where is it raised on pasture. Excellent source of high quality protein as well as vitamin B12, iron and zinc.

USDA Lamb Heart: Often looked over, organ meats such as heart offer a host of nutrients. Rich in high-quality protein, lamb heart also is a very good source of riboflavin, vitamin B12, and selenium.

Peas: Complex carbohydrate boasting dietary fiber, protein, folate and manganese.

Carrot: Well known as a rich source of antioxidant vitamin A in the form of beta carotene. Also supplies vitamin K, biotin and potassium.

Millet: Gluten free grain that serves up complex carbohydrates along with manganese, phosphorus, copper, and magnesium.

Yellow Bell Pepper: Ounce for ounce bell peppers contain almost three and a half times the amount of vitamin C found in oranges! Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that also supports immune function.

Kale: A very good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin K as well as dietary fiber and potassium. Studies suggest that cruciferous vegetables such as Kale possess anticancer properties. The American Cancer Society recommends that Americans increase their intake of these types of vegetables.
